President's Message

Dear APICS Hartford Supporter,

I hope all is well and that you have enjoyed these early days of spring.

Below, please find the March 2017 Newsletter detailing both recent and upcoming offerings.  Highlights include our recent dinner meeting and our upcoming education offerings. Opportunities are plenty for those looking to become supply chain champions.

Additionally last week you may have seen the Chapter’s Call for Volunteers for the coming year.  This is an exciting process as we meet those that wish to become involved and help guide a chapter that has been in existence almost 60 years.

In addition to supporting the community, volunteering provides many life-long connections and is a great way to further your own continuous improvement.  No matter where you are in your career, where you plan on going, if you just joined the Chapter, or have been a member for many years, serving as on the board directors provides many exciting opportunities.

As always the APICS Hartford board appreciates your continued support and looks forward to continuing to be your partner in operations management education, opportunity, and community.

All good things,

Dan Levine

Calendar of Events

During March we had our joint event with the Hartford chapters of the Institute of Management Accountants and American Society for Quality which are two great groups that the Chapter enjoys strong connections with.

In addition to a wide variety of networking opportunities at the event, attendees were treated to a presentation on the Cost of Quality.  The presentation highlighted both internal and external costs of quality as well as the areas of quality management that are often missed.

Thank you to Roy Laun for the presentation and for the other Association's that joined us for a wonderful evening!  If you couldn't make the evening be sure to check out photos from the event here!
