CPIM provides a common basis for individuals and organizations to evaluate their knowledge of the evolving field of production and inventory management. The program has helped individuals and their organizations become more productive and competitive because it is designed to test candidates' in-depth knowledge of a variety of subjects specific to production and inventory management.

The new CPIM Part 2 replaces the previous 4 modules consisting of Strategic Management of Resources, Execution & Control of Operations, Master Plannning of Resources, and Detailed Scheduling  Planning.  Topics covered in this course:

  • Develop sales and operations plans and identifying internal and external demand and forecasting requirements.
  • Importance of producing achievable master schedules that are consistent with business policies, objectives, and resource constraints
  • Techniques for material and capacity scheduling including material requirements planning (MRP), capacity requirements planning (CRP), inventory management practices, and procurement and supplier planning.
  • Translate business plans into operational activities and define and apply techniques in the operations field
  • Execution of quality initiatives and continuous improvement plans
  • Evaluating trade-offs and participating in design decisions
  • Understanding relationships of existing and emerging processes and technologies to operations and supply chain functions  
  • Knowing how business strategies are developed and how operation strategies are implementedThe New CPIM Part 2 course is a 17 week course designed to meet the training needs of today's busy supply chain professionals.  The course will start on January 16th, 2020.
