President's Message
Dear APICS Hartford Supporter,
I hope you are all enjoying your summer and are doing well.
I would like to take a quick moment to introduce myself. My name is Michal Jacunski and I am the President of APICS Hartford County Chapter #6 for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. Some of you may know me through my work as VP of Education for the Chapter over the past few years. I am looking forward to leading the Hartford County Chapter over the next year and building on the great foundation that my predecessor, Dan Levine, has worked hard to build.
I would also like to introduce our Board of Directors for the 2017-2018 fiscal year, without whom none of this would be possible.

Education News
Just because it’s summer it doesn’t mean that learning has to take a backseat. We have a few offerings that will be starting soon, so please be sure to register if you are interested.
CPIM – Basics of Supply Chain Management
As some of you may have heard, the APICS CPIM Certification will be undergoing changes. Starting soon, the CPIM program will consist of 2 modules instead of the current 5.
As we work through this transition, anyone who has a valid passing score on the “old” APICS CPIM Basics of Supply Chain Management exam will automatically be grandfathered into Part 1 of the new CPIM configuration. This means you will only have to pass the new Part 2 exam afterward to be APICS CPIM certified.
To take advantage of this opportunity, APICS Hartford County is offering a FINAL “Classic” BSCM prep course at the old pricing structure. If you are looking to become CPIM certified this is your last chance before price increases take effect. By taking this course and passing the exam, you will be half-way to CPIM certification at a substantial savings.
If you are interested in this unique opportunity, please be sure to visit this page and register for the course. As the “Classic” BSCM deadline is approaching, we will not be able to accept new registrations beyond the posted date. Don’t let this chance pass you by, register today!
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Are you ready to take your supply chain career to the next level? Would you like to increase your knowledge and understanding of your daily operations and add value to job and organization? Then join us for our public CSCP prep course starting this fall. You can be APICS CSCP certified by the end of the year! Please visit this page for more information and to register for the course.
CPIM – Execution and Control of Operations
Already started your CPIM journey and need to finish? APICS Hartford will be hosting our final CPIM Execution and Control of Operations (ECO) prep course this fall. Be sure to join us if you are in the need of this class for your CPIM Certification. Visit this page for information and to register.
As always, be sure to visit us at www.apics-hartford.org for information on our educational offerings or contact our VP of Education, Chaz Allis.
Calendar of Events

It will be an informal gathering but will feature a short presentation by Beth Shluger, CEO/President of Hartford Marathon Foundation “HMF is More than a Marathon”
